Residential Solar Solutions
Solar power for your home, designed around how your household actually uses energy.
A home solar system turns your roof into a power source. Panels generate electricity during the day, an inverter converts it for your appliances, and — if you choose — batteries store the surplus so the lights stay on in the evening and during blackouts.
Our Eco Smart Home approach starts with how your household uses power: which appliances run when, how often the grid goes down, and what you want backed up. We size the system to that, so you don't pay for capacity you'll never use or end up short when you need it most.
Ideal for
- Homeowners tired of rising electricity bills
- Households that lose power during outages and want backup
- Homes with an unreliable grid connection, or none at all
- Families planning to add an EV, a borehole pump or more appliances later
What's included
- Site survey & load assessment: We check your roof's orientation, shading and structure, and go through your appliances and electricity bills.
- System design & sizing: Panels, inverter and batteries sized to your consumption and backup needs, set out in a clear written proposal.
- Grid-tied, hybrid or off-grid: Grid-tied to cut bills, hybrid to add backup, or fully off-grid where there's no reliable supply.
- Battery backup: Battery storage to keep essentials — lights, fridge, Wi-Fi, security — running when the grid is down.
- Professional installation: Mounting, wiring, protection devices and earthing installed properly, with a tidy finish.
- Handover & monitoring: We show you how everything works and set up monitoring so you can see what your system produces.
How it works
- Site survey: We visit, assess your roof and review how your home uses power.
- Proposal: You get a system design and quotation explaining what's included and why.
- Installation: Our team installs the system, usually with minimal disruption to your home.
- Commissioning & handover: We test everything, switch it on and walk you through using and monitoring it.
- Aftercare: We're here for questions, servicing and expansion as your needs change.
Benefits
- Lower electricity bills: Every unit your panels generate is one you don't buy from the grid.
- Power through blackouts: With batteries, essential circuits keep running when the grid goes down.
- Built to last: Solar panels have no moving parts and are designed to work for decades.
- Room to grow: Systems can be planned so panels and batteries can be added later.
Frequently asked questions
How big a system does my home need?
It depends on what you run and when. A home that mainly needs lights, TV, a fridge and Wi-Fi needs a far smaller system than one running water heating, pumps or air conditioning. We work it out from your bills and a walk-through of your appliances during the site survey.
Will I still have power during a blackout?
Only if your system includes batteries (a hybrid or off-grid system). A grid-tied system without batteries switches off when the grid goes down, for the safety of people working on the lines. We'll help you decide which circuits are worth backing up.
Does solar work on cloudy days?
Yes — panels still generate on overcast days, just less. The design allows for this, and batteries or the grid cover the difference.
How much maintenance does it need?
Very little. Keep the panels reasonably clean and have the system checked periodically. Our Operation and Maintenance service can take care of this for you.
Can I add more panels or batteries later?
Usually, yes — especially if it's planned from the start. Tell us about future plans such as an EV, a borehole or an extension and we'll leave room to expand.
